Members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists are unveiling the latest setting for the Doomsday Clock — a virtual depiction of how close we are to the end of the world. The clock’s setting in 2022 was at 100 seconds to midnight. The organization said the clock is “a metaphor, a reminder of the perils we must address if we are to survive on the planet.”
