Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is holding a news conference Tuesday in West Palm Beach as authorities continue their investigation into an apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Secret Service engaged with a suspect who was pointing a high-powered rifle toward a Florida golf course where Trump was golfing on Sunday, officials said. The suspect, who was taken into custody after fleeing the scene, was charged Monday with two firearm offenses.
