Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx announced that the office is dropping four pending sexual abuse cases involving R. Kelly, nearly four years after the indictments were filed in February 2019. The singer is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence after being convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges in New York, and is awaiting sentencing following two additional convictions on federal charges.
