Trump’s TikTok Deal Is a Good Defensive Move, Says Purdue’s Giuda

Michelle Giuda, CEO of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue, says a deal to allow US buyers to recreate TikTok’s algorithm is a good defensive move. But Giuda, who served as Assistant Secretary of State for Global Public Affairs under the first Trump administration, says the country also needs to take offensive steps to spread the US tech stack around the world. She speaks with Caroline Hyde on “Bloomberg Tech.”
