Officials in Erie County, New York are providing an update Wednesday on the winter storm that killed at least 34 people in the area, including 26 in Buffalo. Members of the National Guard will be performing wellness checks at each house in areas that lost power, officials said, and crews aim to have roads cleared and power fully restored Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to warm up in Erie County in the coming days, but officials warned that melting snow could cause minor flooding.
