US EV Sales Hit Record of 1.3 Million in 2024

President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to eliminate tax credits for electric vehicles likely pumped up sales at the end of last year. EV sales grew 12% in the fourth quarter of 2024, pushing the full-year total to a record 1.3 million, according to forecasts from researcher Cox Automotive. Bloomberg’s David Welch reports.
