Nvidia’s $70 Million Florida Supercomputer Hobbled by DeSantis

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had initially thought that a supercomputer bankrolled at the University of Florida by billionaire co-founder of chip giant Nvidia, Chris Malachowsky, would be a magnet for AI talent. Almost four years later, DeSantis’ staunch anti-China stance has instead prevented some of the most highly skilled AI researchers from countries like China and Iran from ever setting foot in the state.
